CLK Ranch is located in the heart of the Brazos Valley, approximately 20 miles northeast of Bryan, Texas. We are only a 25-minute drive from Aggieland in College Station.

We fell in love with and purchased our first two miniature jennets in 1998. After both presented us with their adorable foals later that year, our passion for these fascinating animals grew. Anxious to expand our donkey family, we began our breeding program in 2000. What started out as a small hobby has since grown and flourished into a 38-acre home for our herd of jacks, jennets, weanlings, yearlings and geldings.

All of our donkeys are registered with The American Donkey and Mule Society. In our efforts to ensure a sound breeding program, we strive to secure and maintain the most extensive pedigree records available on each of our donkeys.

Our management program includes a rotated worming schedule every three months, hoof care and trim every three months, and vaccinations at the recommended schedules for adults and foals. We vaccinate for Eastern, Western, and Venezuelan Encephalitis, Tetanus, Rhinopneumonitis, and Influenza. Health records are maintained on each of our donkeys, including the required Coggins test results. Our donkeys deserve and enjoy the best quality care and environment and, in return, have rewarded us with continued good health.

Our donkeys are pastured on a rotating basis within 5 separate grazing areas and all have access to proper shelter to protect them from winter winds and summer sun. When grass is not available for grazing during the winter time or due to summer drought, they are fed only the best horse-quality Bermuda hay. Our most enjoyable time together is when the occasional apple and carrot treats are shared. Peppermint candies, though, are their favorite.

We geld all of our jacks at the appropriate time unless we receive a specific purchase request for a jack to be retained. We currently have two jacks in our breeding program.
